Electronic Books

I have found these books to be very useful over the years of working with electronics. They have thought me just about everything that I know!

If you plan on buying one of these books, please click through these links to Amazon.

Thanks!
cover Mobile Robots: Inspiration to Implementation

A very readable introduction to the art of robotic design and implementation from the best practioners in the field: the MIT Artificial Intelligence Lab! This book references the Handy Board which you can build yourself, and teaches you how to program it in 6811 assembly language. It also discusses motor control, sensor design and robot building strategies. Overall a must have for any robotics enthusiast.
cover Programming and Customizing the Pic Microcontroller

If you are learning to program microcontrollers then Myke's book is good start. It covers the rather odd architecture of the PIC in some detail and then takes you through a serious of good electronics projects that use the various PIC components.
cover The Art of Electronics

A classic in the field, this is the granddaddy of all electronic books out there. It teaches you the art and science of linear and digital electronic design. If you want to learn why your circuit is not working, read this book and you'll know why.
cover M68HC11 Microcontroller

A solid introduction to the 68HC11 microcontroller that is used in the MIT Handy Board. You will need this is conjunction with the "Mobile Robots" book above to make full use of the 68HC11 CPU.
cover Microcontroller Cookbook

A set of cookbook style recipes for the 8051 and PIC microcontrollers. A handy reference to have if you need a quick solution to a problem.
cover Encyclopedia of Electronics Circuits

Just one edition of this multi-volume set, it presents hundreds of useful electronic circuits that you can build with readily available parts. Useful to bootstrap your design and overcome a mental-block.
cover Newnes Digital Logic IC Pocket Book

A handy pocket reference to the pinouts and specs for common digital logic chips.
