Linux on Omnibook 6000
Working as I did for Hewlett-Packard Company, I have installed Linux on
a variety of computers over the years. I do most of my work these days
on a HP Omnibook
6000 laptop. It is a very sweet machine, and a great improvment
over both my desktop machine and my old laptop.
I use Mandrake Linux version
8.0. The key to the making Windows 2000 and Linux co-exist is
resizing the Windows partition and then installing Linux. Another
important step is to retain the Windows operation system chooser and
let it boot you into LILO, the Linux Loader, and then let LILO boot
Linux.
